Cotton Marketing Project of Bureau Well Financed
The Texas Farm Bureau Cotton Association reports ample funding for the coming season with between nine and ten million dollars from the Foreign Finance Corporation and two and a half to three million from Texas bankers plus two and a half million from a New York firm. The financing supports the plan to advance farmers sixty percent of bale value against warehouse receipts, with the balance paid at sale. The association, claimed as the largest cooperative marketing group, has over 40 000 Texas farmers as members who will market every bale for five years. F E B Guthrie of Dallas is named as manager with a treasurer selection to follow next week.
