Sam Benson a form setter on the paving project east of town lost the second finger of his right hand Saturday when a fellow worker driving stakes misfired striking his finger. Benson was rushed to Standifer sanitarium and the finger was removed. He is reported to be getting along satisfactory.
An all day millinery session was held last Thursday April at the home of Myke W. RB Covert. Most attendees lacked materials to make hats and received instruction from Miss Eula Goodfellow. A follow up meeting was set for May 17. Mr and Mrs Eunice Wilson and Mrs R T Wilson visited Sweetwater.
Miss Frances Hicks entertained the Tuesday bridge club this afternoon with three tables of cards. Substitutes invited were Mrs. C. M. Caraway Miss Roberta Standifer and Miss Damnal ita Standifer. Regular members present beside the hostess included Misses Mary Anderson Oleta Youngblood Juanita Youngblood Esther Swartwood Olive Shive Mrs Clint Swartwood Mrs S B Munger and Mrs Walter McCyleb.
The Oklainton Home Improvement Club meets today at the home of Mrs J M Smith. All members are urged to be present.
