The First Judicial District Court of Utah Territory at Provo issues a sheriff sale to satisfy a December 23 1890 judgment in favor of Tootle Hosen and Company against Lorenzo Hatch. On October 5 1894 at 10 a.m. at the Vernal County Court House the defendant’s real estate in Vernal Uintah County will be sold for cash to the highest bidder. The parcels include described blocks and lots in Vernal Survey Building Lots and adjoining parcels. sale is of all right title and interest of Lorenzo Hatch in the judgment. Sheriff Geo Searle of Uintah County Utah conducts the sale.
Washington reports a five story Stumpp Bros factory blaze killing thirteen with four bodies at the morgue and three hospitalised. Fifteen minutes before noon fire started in the picking room, trapping workers on upper floors as rescue attempts failed.
In St Clair county near Ogle station Illinois a water well used for drinking and cooking was found to be the home of a large family of green snakes. The water poisoned the community causing stomach pains dizziness and nausea among children and adults before the snakes were removed and the source neutralized.
