Foul Brood Honey Quarantined by Uintah County Beekeepers
County Bee Inspector James Marshall led a meeting at Lapoint where Western Uintah County beekeepers discussed preventing foul brood in bee pastures. They voted to place all county foul brood honey under the inspector's custody until proper disposal, funded by a 60 cent per beekeeper fee to attend the State Beekeepers Convention in Salt Lake City, signaling progress for a stronger local bee industry.

From Scrub to Pure Bred Van Palmtree’s nickel grows a farm
Van Palmtree, an 18-year-old in Panola County Mississippi, turns a single nickel gifted by a teacher into a small farming venture. He buys a crippled chicken, raises it to maturity, profits from its brood, buys a runt pig, sells it for 9.36, then acquires a heifer calf. The chain continues as the herd grows from that one nickel.
