Game Seasons in Uintah to be Best In Several Years
Deputy Warden Floyd O Noel reports Uintah County will see strong game conditions this fall. Abundant feed on high elevations and favorable conditions boost deer and fowl prospects with many deer, ducks, and geese expected in hunting areas along Green River and Stewart. Deer season opens October 21 to 30, pheasant season may be altered, ducks and geese from November 1 to 30. Mr Noel also plans fingerling stocking at Little Brush Creek as water conditions allow. Mary M Ricks arrives from Rexburg to begin duties, temperature records show extreme winter heat differences, and a camera project records soil conservation work across Arizona and New Mexico.
