Man Ehuarts Foot In Mine Mishap at Bonanza
Garth T. Justice, 28, Vernal, was released from Uintah County Hospital Friday after treatment for a crushed and mangled right foot. He was taken to hospital Tuesday after his foot was caught in machinery at American Gilsonite Company Bonanza. Indicative of research challenges, nearly two tons of average quality shale must be processed to yield one barrel of oil, which would require about $3.00 per barrel to compete with regular crude at current prices.
