A joint resolution in Utah proposes adding a new section to Article 2 and 8 to establish a minimum wage for women and minors. It authorizes the legislature to set standards for health safety and welfare of all employees and clarifies the legislature may empower commissions or bodies as needed to enforce the provision.
The Utah Legislature proposes an amendment to Article XXII repealing Section 9 and related prohibitions on sale manufacture use possession and traffic of intoxicating liquors. Secretary of State to submit to voters at next general election with effective date set for January 1 following canvass.
