Mrs James Chadwicklel leaves Thursday for the city with petitions for pardons of Jas Chadwick and Ed Whipple. Tom McKee was accidentally shot at Diamond Mountain Ranch by Byron Sessions. Dr Butler reports he is progressing. Two weeks of rain and drizzle and autumn remains elusive. The Farmers Alliance plans a grand reunion on the first Monday in October inviting all to attend and help. Five threshers are now operating in the valley.

Showalter Takes Over Local Ford Motor Agency
On Monday O W Showalter and Harold Calder closed a deal for the sale of the Ford agency and Calder controlled supplies. The firm will be Showalter Motor company with Mr Showalter as manager. Calder has not chosen a location. Showalter, a noted local businessman, built the old Orpheum theatre and brings in new equipment for auto parts.
