The former MacArthur intelligence chief in WWI will speak at 7 30 pm to Uintah Knife and Fork Club at Hotel Vernal. He served in France as a pursuit pilot and later with Ridgeway during Occupation years and the Korean War.

Road Project Advances Vernal Man Unita Recreation Area
Utah State Road Commission approved a 9.44 mile 300000 construction project to build a new segment of Utah Highway 44 from west of Manila to the Ashley National Forest boundary north of the Bennett ranch. The plan includes early surveys and aims to improve access to Uintah Basin with Greensville access, aiding Flaming Gorge development and forest service recreation facilities.

A 69000 road project from Dutch John to Little Toll on Green River will improve access and spur the dam region s popular fishing and scenery.

Lady Milec Club Honors Hostess With Birthday Gifts
The Lady Milec club met at Leora Bowthorpe home with 12 members. A two course turkey dinner and Thanksgiving themed decorations were enjoyed as games were played.
