In a 75 to 238 vote the Trench Chamber of Deputies invalidated Count Koni de Castellane’s election to the house. The contested elections committee offered no recommendation as Chauvip assailed Castellane for irregularities while Castellane denied any wrongdoing and urged the chamber to uphold his mandate. Utah Idaho and Wyoming totals from 309 of 619 Utah precincts deliver 69 991 votes for congressman. Howell leads McCarty for justice with narrow statewide margins. In Honolulu a home owned by EB Iriel burned to the ground. EB Iriel's wife and his 15 year old daughter Mra Nigel Jackson died after hours of suffering from severe burns. Nigel Jackson, husband of one victim, is in custody on suspicion of arson. Jackson had just been sued for divorce.

A dead woman named Ichi, found in a canefield on Mau Island, is tied to an alleged murder by agreement with Lugiti Kichita. She supposedly signed to leave her husband for him with a stipulation that failure would provoke her killer, and she was stabbed last Thursday.

Two youths jailed over Thieves Safe Break at M D Weights

Murray and Guthene, two young men, jailed in Tathdruam Ida, charged with blowing open the safe at the M D Weights store Thursday night last week. Shewen, once employed at Kathdrum livery stable, disappeared the night of the robbery. They were captured at Hope where reports say they had been gambling and spending money. The postmaster general orders abolition of the postoffice physician in all offices in cities under 500000 population. About a dozen cities in the class have such positions and several postmasters say the role is unnecessary. The move is expected to save the government about one year.

Terrific storm visits Nome with drownings and wrecks

A severe storm began October 14 at Nome driving eight men to drown and wrecking three vessels and many lighters along the beach. Surviving crews were rescued by lifesaving teams from the Louise Bik and Meet Wing as the Snoake River and Dry Creek flooded and the Dry Creek bridge collapsed. Three Nebraska Children Arrested for Father’s Murder and Burn

Nerman Borehera 14 and his brothers August 10 and John 8 are jailed near Kumphreye Nebraska for allegedly killing their father Gerhard Borehera a widower farmer and burning the body. Nerman’s statement to the sheriff accuses the brothers and describes the use of a purchased shotgun. Neighbors say there was no known mistreatment by the father.
