Inferno Rages Through Uintah High South Wing
A major fire struck Uintah High School's south wing Friday around 6 p.m., damaging five classrooms and contents as well as the bookstore, library, and admin offices. The blaze caused extensive water and smoke damage across the building, with the new wing also affected. Firefighters battled the blaze until midnight, using gas masks, hoses, roof access, and an airboat to control smoke as authorities speculated overheating in a refrigerator motor in the biology room caused the incident.
