Why Not a Railroad for the Uintah Basin
The Deseret News urges building a railroad into the Uintah Basin, citing the Moffat tunnel completion and potential to cut 150 miles from Denver to Salt Lake. Estimated freight could reach 159 cars annually and 65 per day, plus 30 carloads weekly passenger traffic, with a sugar factory and expanded farming expected to follow.
