Steinaker Water Factor Highlighted by Vernal Rotary

L Y Siddoway secretary of Dintah Water Conservancy District told Vernal Rotary Club last week that without Steinaker Reservoir water there would be no green in the upper valley. He reported 10 296 acre feet used with 2478 acre feet left for canal companies and 1600 acre feet for municipal water. He noted Ashley Valley Water System plans outpace growth and said the Colorado River flow was slower than forecast. A Central Utah Project conservancy district petition will circulate soon as construction starts, creating a larger labor force than Flaming Gorge Dam’s peak. Henderson introduced Siddoway. Slage received a 4 Way Test plaque. Dal Lewis and Russ Kier attended as guests.
