Waste and wasteful habits hinder national reconstruction
The National Association of Waste Material Dealers estimates Americans waste 700 million dollars worth of food yearly. If one ounce per home across 20,050,000 households is discarded, about 51.8 million pounds are wasted daily. Proper treatment of idle funds and manpower could mobilize capital for reconstruction and cut costs, with food waste listed at 2.75 billion annually.
