Injured Hand in Cement Mixer Incident
Henry Workman severely injures his right hand in a cement mixer while working on his new home. A major oil company has already employed postwar 2000 veterans not previously employed by it. Over 93 percent of discharged veterans have returned to work. The University of Texas plans a three color geological petroleum map of the state, available as a black and white preprint. Controlled directional drilling began about 1932 in California, enabling drillers to steer wells under water bodies.
