Jensen PTA Names Dee Curlew President in PTA Meeting
The Jensen PTA elected Mrs Dee Curlew as president for the coming year at a meeting held at the schoolhouse. Other officers named were Mrs Gerald Caldwell vice president and Marie Brimhall secretary treasurer. A program featured songs and musical numbers. A wether roast and pot luck lunch followed. Several local residents and visitors attended and church and community events were noted.

Two Cars Crash on Old U.S. 40 in Glines
At 7 10 p m Sunday two vehicles collided on old U S 40 at McKeachnie Corner in Glines causing about 150 dollars damage to one car and 25 dollars to the other. Venice McKeachnie Hettinger 91 Vernal driving a 1847 Ford rudor and Denny R Gardiner 19 Vernal in a 1849 Ford sedan collided. Hettinger cited for failure to yield right of way and Gardiner cited for failure to keep proper je. The accident was investigated by Trooper R H Helm of the Utah State Highway Patrol.
