Utah Fishing Season Opens May 28

Utah sets May 28 as the early general angling opening to capitalize on the Memorial weekend. About 150,090 anglers are expected to fish streams, lakes, and reservoirs with higher water and less favorable access at higher elevations. Hatchery plantings will begin across waters as conditions permit, with more catchable trout stocked throughout the season. Anglers should check regulations as new adult and juvenile limits and looser bait rules are in effect.
