The city proposes a 20 foot wide paved rock asphalt street project in Vernal with North East and South Vernal avenues and First South through Second West streets. Total cost about 20125 dollars, WPA funds cover around 181834, owners pay 0.80 per linear foot, protests due by May 20, 1930, with council hearing set.
A report from Grand Junction notes Equity Oil company workers and visitors arriving for a drilling project. The Raven Oil and Refining Co. reports a new shallow well with two twelve hour shifts. Contractors from Rock Springs Wye are on site, and personnel including John Bockhold and Tongish McDonald arrived April 16 to oversee interests. In Uintah County Utah the District Court sale of 160 acres described as the southwest quarter of section two two north range eight west will be held May 27 1939 at 2 pm at the Vernal Courthouse front door. The sale includes 83 1 3 shares of Dry Gulch Irrigation Class H stock certificate 4153 and all rights and appurtenances for irrigation and access with reversion rents and profits.
