Mountain States Telephone announces a major cut in connection charges for new extensions and room-to-room moves. The policy reduces rates for adding extensions, moving phones within a home, and changing phone types from desk to wall. The company states the reductions follow its aim to provide the best service at the lowest cost to subscribers.
The 1929 budget for Greater Utah Telephone System funds land and buildings, switches, poles and wires at about 4,650 dollars per working day, totaling the largest investment in the company’s history to improve telephony across the territory.
