Utes Threaten Legal Action Over Central Utah Project
Senator Orrin Hatch was advised the Ute Indian Tribe may sue the United States if President Carter proceeds to halt CUP development. The tribe argues its water rights from 1861 and water agreements dating to the 1860s rely on the Bonneville Unit and related CUP components.
