Williams Kalb Family History of Zion and Virgin City
The narrative recalls Mamy Eliza Williams Kalb and family moving to Echo and Springville during Utah conflicts then back to finish the tabernacle. They settled Virgin City on the Virgin River, raised cotton, and produced flour and clothing. William led a move to Beaver City for flour and returned with 300 pounds of white flour, witnessed by neighborhood children. The crude school housed in a small log building with wagon roof and slate scraps as slate.
