Uintah Basin wildcat wells scheduled and oil sale planned
A new exploratory test well in Uintah Basin will be drilled by Mapco In Billings to at least 8070 feet, with several more wells planned in Clay Basin and Gravel Pile fields. The State Lands Department will hold a sealed bid oil and gas lease sale for 19 tracts across Emery Grand San Juan Millard Iran Uintah Duchesne and Washington Counties with bids opening March 28.
