Renowned Bloodlines of Jersey Cattle in 1692 World Show
At the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago 1692 a Jersey named Brown Basse was judged Worlds Champion dairy cow with Merry Maiden as second. The line continued through Merry Malden, a son of Brown Benala, producing Merry Malden's Prince or Old Prince, later head of the Winder herd in Salt Lake City. Daughters of Merry Maiden’s Prince yield high merit, including Utah’s top dairy cow producing over 800 pounds butterfat yearly in Uintah County.
