Youth Held in Beating Of Basin Woman
An 18 year old farmer from Myton, Larry Wayne Chidester, was arrested on charges connected to a brutal attack on 30 year old Roosevelt woman Mrs Wane Workman. Workman sustained a broken nose facial bones and shock and was hospitalized. Police say the suspect entered Will Brisbin’s farm near Roosevelt, stole two pistols and $50 before fleeing, then took a car from Roosevelt that left the road. The suspect was taken to Roosevelt City Jail and later moved to Duchesne jail amid concerns of community violence. The incident began when Workman was alone in Bumps Western Wear Store and was attacked. Brisbin and Officer Eldrith E Brandt responded to calls about a suspect forcing entry at Brisbin’s home and threatening with weapons. (Continued on page 2)
