Fruita petition seeks South Side Irrigation District lineage
Fruita residents and Dr Francis P Adams filed with Mesa County Commissioners to create a 1000 acre South Side Irrigation District below the Grand River near Fruita. If approved, the plan calls for a $15 000 or 20 000 bond to build a five mile gravity ditch delivering 400 inches of water to 1000 acres. Hearing set for March 31.
