Forest Service Builds Steel Girder Bridge at Rock Creek
The Forest Service on the Altonah Ranger District of Ashley National Forest completed a steel girder bridge in Rock Creek near Miner's Gulch Campground about four miles south of Davies Lodge. Built last fall after hunting season, it replaces an old unsafe bridge and will support increased timber hauling and other Forest uses in a growing recreation area. Ranger Kuhns cited the bridge as a vital link to better use available forest resources and road networks.

Fishing Plan Outlined for Utah Manmade Lakes
The Department of Fish and Games announced a plan for Utahs man made lakes treated chemically in recent years and a new water opening for fishing this season. Red Creek Reservoir in Duchesne County will stock small game fish to reach watchable sizes by 1962, with Mons and Otter Creek reservoirs slated to open in 1961. Palisade Lake Pineview and Tropic Reservoirs treated in 1959 will open this year after last years fry stocking, Gooseberry Reservoir and Beach Pond treated in 1958 also begin general seasons. Higher altitude waters may yield small but gamey cutthroat trout. Restocking and management depend on multiple factors.
