Dinosaur Ceremonies Mark 3 Year County Project
County commissioners reviewed a sketch for a new county building with Salt Lake architect Lorenzo Young and plan revisions to be discussed June 14. An earlier Lions Club dedication celebrated a 74 foot diplodocus dinosaur skeleton at Utah Field House in Vernal, with molds from Carnegie Museum and a 8 ton replica occupying the lawn as the public learned about the project’s long history and significance.

A valuation trial to determine compensation for about 3.7 million acres of Ute lands ceded under the 1872 Brunch Treaty will begin August 12 in Denver. Funeral services for Charles H Kendall 46 a truck driver for Uintah County Road Dept were held Wednesday at Glines Ward chapel Vernal. Kendall died Sunday in Vernal hospital after long illness born March 30 1911 in Vernal to Charles Thomas and Lucy D Johnson Kendal survived by widow and mother four sons and three daughters two brothers a sister and several grandchildren.
