Fire Destroys B M Collum Place in Artesia
Fire destroyed the small repair shop of B M Collum in Artesia on June 5. A trucker spotting the blaze alerted Mr Collum in Craig, and a bucket brigade saved the Artesia Pool Hall next door from catching fire. The frame building burned around 4 PM, with heavy heat causing damage to the adjacent structure.
