Refugees Learn Islands Rare for Leasing in Public Lands
The Bureau of Land Management announced few islands remain in public domain suitable for lease under the Small Tract Act. Director Marion Clawson said most islands were transferred to private ownership or are unsuitable, with only rocky, inaccessible masses left.
