Wool prices to rise through August study says

The Utah Extension Service forecasts wool prices will climb through August 1959 as Utah woolgrowers rush to sell. Prices have risen 10 to 18 cents per pound over the past six weeks, with consignments offered from 48 to 68 cents. Market activity remains strong, though a late 1959 slump is considered unlikely. The Agent notes buyers anticipate continued demand and higher prices for shorn wool while producers seek cash quickly.
