A famed educated rabbit known as Mr Basketball will perform a 10 day exhibition at Kens Farm Store in Vernal starting today. The event promises free family entertainment with the rabbit scoring baskets while a broader regional agricultural report notes windbreaks, tree plantings, and soil conservation plans in Pleasant Valley and Uintah County.

Windbreak Plan After 16 000 Trees Planted At Pleasant Valley
Pleasant Valley near Myton prepares to plant over 18 000 trees and shrubs including green ash honey locust black locust Russian olive squawbush and multiflora rose to form windbreaks across about seven miles. Fourteen farmers and soil conservation technicians devised a two to three row windbreak plan with trees lining roads and fences. A dedicated tree planter will be hired to run the machine and irrigate the new growth.
