More than a dozen men and boys with wagons and deactors gathered at the Raymond Stewart hay fields Saturday and by night stacked many tons of hay. A Jensen gitle ball team loss and a long social with neighbors follow this rural gathering as families, visits, and trips to nearby towns fill the community news.

Three brick veneer homes with three bedrooms each were completed in the Ashton subdivision between 6th and 8th West on 244 North. Financed by VA and FHA, they will sell in the $16,000 range, bringing total built to ten of eighteen lots. Ashton Bros reports three more homes to be built this fall and the balance next spring.
Alm Fonce interviews 1st Lt Eugene T Buckner to recruit eastern and southern Utah men for Air Force Reserve participation. Interviews at the Dinosaur Motel in Vernal Friday evening and Saturday morning in Vernal and Noogevelt areas by telegraph or phone. The Uintah Basin flight of the 84224 Air Reserve Squadron runs 29 training meetings yearly and oversees annual active duty tours. Maj Royal D B Henderson of Vernal commands the unit with officers and airmen from Duchenne and Uintah counties.
Our sixth meeting was at leader Carol Lee Bennion home on Saturday July 23 at 3:30. We worked on our skirt and refreshments were served after a vacation trip to Beaver Utah and Salt Lake City. Seven ward boys left last Saturday for National Guard training in California. Cub Scout Packs from Naples and Davis held a joint meeting with a 50 year jubilee celebration featuring games and a family picnic in the evening.

Army Specialist Four Mitchell Murdock age 23 of Los Angeles is on the 4th Armored Division squad that took part in the VII Corps Le Clerc marksmanship matches in Graffenwohr Germany. He entered service in 1958 and is an automatic rifleman in Company C of the 60th Infantry. He trained at Fort Hood Texas and arrived overseas in May 1959.
