Four shots rang out near Main and Vernal streets as W H Sawyer a traveling photographer faced N T Sumner over a jilted romance. Sumner fired repeatedly but missed and fled. no one was hurt. A separate Vernal Precinct case names John Doe to answer a two dollar damages claim for a mare at Palmer’s premises.
The County Board of Examiners of Uintah County will hold teachers examinations on Friday August 11 1893 at the Vernal school house. All persons interested should govern themselves accordingly.
