Death by own action at Deep Creek cashed in Hig Stack

Coroner's Jury rules Thorwall Anderson killed himself with a short rifle found in his left hand near his home at Deep Creek. The forty five year old single man, reportedly despondent, had a history of heavy drinking and insanity but left an inheritance from his mother and is survived by an only sister in Galt Lake.

Community plans school building and funding appeal

A committee and the Blake Tithing office treasurer Geof Davis organize fund raising for a new school with projected total cost around 30 000 including land and furnishings. Plans show costs at about 25 000 and final completion may adjust. An architect will provide floor plans and elevations for printing to show the plant. The tennis club begins a tournament series with finals on September 4 and prizes of a ten dollar racket and tennis shoes.

New Uintah Stake Academy Building Plans Ready

Preliminary arrangements for a new Stake Academy building are completed with three stories, rock foundation and brick walls. Main 80 by 54 foot structure plus rear wing, heating and ventilating plant, mechanical arts and wood working spaces, gymnasium, classrooms, offices, lockers, and a 400-seat top floor assembly hall. A solicitor committee is appointed to raise funds and district-based canvassing begins with blank pledge forms prepared.

Recovery of John Jarvie body linked to Utah murder case

The body of John Jarvie was found in Green River six miles above Lahore Canyon on July 14 after being shot in the back and brain. Theo Jarvie and Archie Jarvie traced suspects toward Rock Springs where two men matched descriptions fled. A $1000 reward, split between Rock Springs residents and Governor Tuttler, is offered for the killers.

Killed in a Runaway at Maeser

George Fisher of Maeser died after a runaway wagon struck a telephone pole on the way to Reynolds mill. He was 44, left a wife, stepdaughter, and four children, and will be buried next Sunday at 11 from the Maeser ward meeting house.

South Myton votes $300000 bonds in Utah irrigation project

The South Myton Irrigation District elected bonds totaling 300000 to fund a 14 mile canal on the former Uintah reservation. Quiet July wedding links to notable local family
