Silver politics flare as St Louis convention nears endorsement aims
The piece notes a St Louis convention this week expected to endorse Bryan, pushing silver Republicans and Gold Democrats toward his camp. It argues Republicans should align with Bryan to oppose McKinley, citing tariff and money platform disputes and urging Utah Republicans to back Bryan. It also covers local items on education, trustee finances, and Rio Grande Western Railway plans through Strawberry Valley with Dodge confident the main line to the reservation will be built soon.
