Golden Reflections Salute Vernal Patriotism and Parade
A Vernal celebration honors veterans with speeches by Miss Minin Davis and Miss Kenna Cragan, praise for American doughboys, and a strong anti Bolshevik note. A parade led by W. M Anderson concludes at the Bank corner with a salute to Old Glory and the county service flag. Festivities include sports, Indian dance, and dances at the Orpheus and Vogue Alt. The event, funded by a prior patriotic ball, proves a wide community effort with many locals contributing. Street procession featured soldiers and a sailor float, then moved to honor Raymond Bates amid cheers. The Muir and Richardson families come to celebrate Mrs Richardson’s 65th birthday, note ties to Scotland, and express wishes for many returns.
