Doris draslem and Mable Allen took the Home Builder girly to Vernal Monday where they visited the Field House and enjoyed a swim at the Vernal swimming pool before returning home. A large Whiterocks community gathering and several visits follow including leadership meeting in Roosevelt and a Roy Taylor family reunion on the Whiterocks campus.

Havenstrite Oil Corporation reports a new wildcat in the 68,400 Ute Trial Unit in southern Uintah County. Drilling at Ute Trail No. 21-V-21-H targets 6000 feet into the Wasatch formation near NW S21, TIOS, R22, four miles from the existing test site. Two commercial gas wells and one oil well have been found to date in the Ute Trail Unit.
