Bring Papers Advises VA Contact Man
L Button in charge of the Veterans Administration office in the Uintah Basin this week advised all veterans seeking help from the VA to come prepared. Many veterans and dependents are forced to make two or three calls because they fail to bring necessary papers or correspondence. Inquiries, insurance certificates with identification numbers, VA correspondence, and receipts for payments should be included. A discharge record is almost a must for all benefits including loans schooling job training and pensions. Burton reports that nearly half of all veterans do not bring their discharge papers.
