Frustrations of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in Securing a Site
The Daughters of Utah Pioneers state a history of organizing in 1927 and growing to 31,200 members. They detail efforts to preserve landmarks, collect relics, and publish Utah history while recounting battles over space for relics and a Pioneer Memorial building completed in 1950. The text notes relocations, church lease help, and losses of valuable relics amid community resistance and legal battles.
