All Cotton Bearing Trees In the City to Come Down
At the Wednesday council meeting Mayor Cotton led discussions on removing all cotton bearing trees in the city. Bills were approved or adjusted for multiple vendors, and a plan to allow citizens to cut trees after city removal was proposed to secure firewood. The council considered actions against private property owners but found no authority to enter private premises without consent.
