New Brochure Promotes Vernal Tourist Attractions
At a Vernal Chamber of Commerce meeting last week a new brochure on the Laurel ity attractions of the Vernal area was exhibited. It features a large colored photo of the visitor center at Dinosaur National Monument and images of Flaming Gorge Dam, petroglyphs, a Green River boat trip, the Uintas, and Vernal golf. Initial print run is 78 000 copies with about 40 000 to Utah Tourist Council for distribution. The brochure and Dinosaur licenses will be shown at a national sport show in San Angelo and an exhibit in Dallas. A survey of Uintah Basin natural resources may be conducted next summer, with University of Utah possibly carrying it out. The tourist attractions west of Vernal are under development, and the plan was deferred.
