Green River Water Diversion Plan Filed for Power Plant
An application to the State Engineer seeks 2 370 second feet daily of Green River flow for hydroelectric generation. The request, filed Saturday by Thomas W Cameron Frank OD Wyant and Theodore J Winkelar on behalf of St Louis capitalists, proposes a dam three miles south of the Green River and Maude Creek junction in Carbon County Utah. Uintah County Teachers elect officers at January meeting
Sixteen members of Uintah County Teachers association met January 11 at Central School to elect officers and hear N G Sowarda report on a Salt Lake City convention. Sowarda is reelected president. Charles Colton named vice president. Arthur J Goodwin secretary. A new committee will organize monthly programs and institute meetings. The group heard Sowarda describe his county school visit and Salt Lake City convention, praising Central School art and music staff. The meeting adjourned to February 16 at 2 pm.
