Uintah Basin Rich in Hydro-Carbon and Base Minerals
The Uintah basin in Utah hosts abundant mineral resources with copper ore shipments exceeding 600 cars at over 50 percent copper content. Placer gold from Green River sands, untapped large deposits, and the vast gilsonite stock projected at 10,000,000 tons mark the basin as a world leader in hydrocarbons ahead of the Utah Colorado railroad route and oil shale potential.
