Farm Account Books Now Available Free
Farm account books for 1995 are free at county extension offices. Extension economist Cruz Wenstrom says the Agricultural Adjustment Administration prepared the books to aid proof of contract compliance but they are available to all farmers. Farmers must request in person, by phone, or by letter and begin an inventory of land, equipment, feed, and livestock as of December 1, 1934. The contract signs start February 0, and the books help avoid estimates, lowering inspection costs borne by the real assets assessor.
