County urged to run Basin Hospital to save lives
Local groups pressed the Uintah County Board of Commissioners to take over Basin Hospital claiming county operation would cost under 1000 dollars yearly and save lives in emergencies. They argue ongoing modernization and physician efforts make the hospital valuable, while opposing free charity care and calling Roosevelt and Fort Duchesne facilities sufficient backups.
