Model Magpie Trap on Display Now
A model magpie trap is on display at Uintah County Courthouse and will stay at the tower until next Wednesday. The trap, built by Frank Siddeway, was funded by Uintah County and the State Fish and Game Department after last summer's magpie contest funds. Vernal Rod and Gun Club president Alvin Kay says the traps work well, citing a trapper who caught twenty magpies in a day. The public may inspect the model and questions can be directed to Clair Acord, Uintah County agriculture agent.
