Mr and Mrs Dee Alfred of Roosevelt announce the survival of a baby boy born in February at Provo. Mrs Alfreds mother Mrs Lu Ta Mullina traveled to Provo and back Sunday evening. Meda Walker, Laurie Letchty, and Mr and Mrs Harold Sharp visited Provo and Salt Lake City over the weekend. Mrs Owen Goodrich hosted the Sewing Club at her home Thursday evening. The time was spent crocheting and playing pinochle. Refreshments served to ten members. The Whiterocks DUP chapter met at Elizabeth Morrill’s home Thursday afternoon. Men played basketball with Leota and Lapoint teams at the Lapoint chapel Saturday night.

Mr and Mrs Luther J Stewart Jr returned from Salt Lake City where Mrs Stewart underwent an operation in late December. Her mother Mrs Zinna Murray, who had stayed with them, has returned home. Mr and Mrs Erastus Rasmussen and son Mont plan a two week stay in Mt Pleasant, joined by Mrs Boyd Rasmussen visiting her parents in Axtell. Charles Woodward and family, along with sisters Mrs Charles Miles and Mrs Francis Stewart Jr, spend a week in Jensen. Moonyeen Wellman and family visit from Ho Roosevelt. American Asphalt Mine group, including Chas Roberts, spent the weekend in Jensen.
