Indian Road Committee Reports Repairs
The Indian Road Committee reports ongoing maintenance despite mud winter. Repairs include fixing a bridge, replacing rotted wood box culverts on the Independence to U.S. 40 road near Myton, and installing a new culvert and approach near the Agency Water Works to ease ice. A tree row at Whiterocks School was removed and crushed rock surfacing applied. New road maps for the Reservation and Uncompahgre Addition are prepared for submission to Indian Office and Bureau of Public Roads. A heavier tractor with a double drum winch was delivered for the timber project, while old equipment is retained for future use.
