Contract for a steel highway bridge to span the river west of Myton on Sixth street has been let to M J Patternon Construction of Denver. Completion within six months is aimed, with possible first of June finish for light travel as abutments and approaches begin before ice goes out. The project supports 160 lb per sq ft load and anticipates early work on abutments.

Death of Erie County Native Thomas Lyons in 1910
Thomas Lyons born 1822 in Erie County Pennsylvania died February 14 1910 aged 88 He was the oldest settler in the county having lived there for nearly thirty years coming from Nevada and settling on Little Brush Creek at what is now the Goodman farm He lived with H C Ruple’s family at his death He was buried February 16 from Mr Ruple’s home with Reverend Ludwig Thomeen officiating A quartette from the Congregational Church provided music The Ruple family mourns him as an old friend and helper The Odd Fellows Masquerade Ball was held last Saturday night.

90th Quarterly Conference Draws Large LDS Attendance
The 90th Quarterly Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints drew a large attendance with many visitors from distant points on the reservation. Reports by bishops and church organizations filled the day, a missionary resume from Mark Batty on Great Britain was presented, and addresses by Stake Presidency and Patriarch followed. Music featured the choir conducted by David Manwaring, with performances by Mrs Awthelwyne Colletts choir and Naples organization.

Settlers Seek faster action on suspended land filings
The Vernal Land Office reports fifty filings by settlers suspended or waiting for a special agent's report including desert land and mineral entries.
