Liberty Ward Social Delights Over Hundred Attend Upper School

A ward social at the Liberty yard and upper school house drew over a hundred attendees with music, recitations, comic and serious dialogues, parlor games, and a luncheon. Visitors included Miss Isabel DeMoisy and Messrs Clarence and Tera Preece from Whiterocks and elders Perry and Wian of the Seventies quorum. They announce a public meeting at the upper school house Sunday night February 11. The Whiterocks canal froze in Red Narrows causing water shortages. Dick Smith of Vernal rents his homestead for three years to a Lovell Wyoming family formerly of Junction Piute Utah.

Commerce Commission inquiry urged over school district bill

Conrad Tranks of district No 6 complains to the Interstate Commerce Commission about a charged rate for transporting express matter by United Railway Company. The district received a two pound bill from Salt Lake City valued at wasty cents, paid under protest. Tranks intends to press the issue to obtain redress for the alleged unwarranted charge.
